- Design of digital controllers using transform methods. State-space representations of continuous and discrete-time systems.
- State feedback. Controllability and observability. Pole placement. Optimal control. Linear-Quadratic Regulator (LQR).
- Probability and stochastic processes. Optimal estimation. Kalman Filter.
- Prerequisites: MMAE 501* (min. grade C); an undergraduate course in classical control. *May be taken concurrently.
