I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, where I direct the Robust Control Lab (RCL).
At RCL, our research focuses on robust and adaptive safe control, state estimation, and system identification for robotic and autonomous systems. We develop experimentally validated, optimization-based control methods that integrate control theory and machine learning for real-world feedback control implementations.
Prior to joining Illinois Tech, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Burdick group at Caltech and a member of the Center for Autonomous Systems and Technologies (CAST). At Caltech, I had the privilege of working closely with Professors Joel W. Burdick, Aaron D. Ames, and Richard M. Murray. I also collaborated with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Robotics team.

[May 28, 2025] I am excited to share that I will be joining the Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor starting in January 2026.
